Four seniors scored in double figures Saturday evening as the University of North Georgia men's basketball team bounced back from a slow start to defeat Lander University 82-78 in the Saints' final home game of the regular season.

Brenau University senior swimmer Hannah Boudreaux has been named Female Swimmer of the Year for the Appalachian Swim Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Women's Swimmer & Diver of the Month for February.

The University of North Georgia athletic department will induct four individuals into the Athletics Hall of Fame at a luncheon today. Among those four is Dawson County High School history teacher and assistant girls basketball coach Anne Hyams.

North Georgia softball jumps from 12th to 4th in poll
The University of North Georgia softball team has climbed eight spots from to fourth in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll of the season following an 11-2 start. Valdosta State University, the 2012 NCAA Division II national champion, remained atop the standings 14 first-place votes thanks to a 9-1 record.

The Brenau University swim team placed fourth in the Appalachian Swim Conference Championship over the weekend in Barbourville, Ky.

The world championships will be held July 18-28 in Lithuania.
