A sweep for Brenau

The Brenau University softball team swept a doubleheader with No. 20 Shorter, 3-0, 3-2, on Tuesday in Gainesville. With the win, the Golden Tigers (37-7, 21-5 Southern States Athletic Conference) moved two games ahead of Shorter for first place in the conferences eastern division.

Pickett named PBC Pitcher of the Week

North Georgia's Jacob Rickett was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. Rickett is the first Saints player to earn a conference weekly award this season.

North Georgia softball claims PBC title

For the third straight season, the North Georgia College & State University softball team is the champion of the Peach Belt Conference. After wrapping up their third straight regular season title last week, the Lady Saints made it three tournament titles in a row on Sunday with a 5-2 win over Augusta State in Florence, S.C.
