Brenau softball places 3 players on Louisville Slugger All-Region squad

Brenau University softball players Tiffany Schandera, Morgan Smith and Jenny Shepherd have been named to the 2011 Louisville Slugger All-Region team, announced Wednesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Anna Maness was named to the second team for the Golden Tigers.

Piedmont baseball, Brenau tennis advance in postseason

Kevin Caldwell threw eight strong innings, and the Piedmont College baseball team scored six runs in the sixth inning en rout to defeating Salisbury University 10-1 in the opening round of the 2011 NCAA South Regional Tournament on Wednesday. The win was only the second NCAA postseason victory in school history for the third-seeded Lions (31-13).
