NGCSU men win third straight

Sage named PBC preseason all-conference

Chad Sage, a 2006 graduate of Chestatee High and current member of the North Georgia College & State University baseball team, has been named to the 12-member 2011 First-Team Preseason Peach Belt All-Conference team, as selected by the league's head coaches.

Piedmont College adding lacrosse program

Piedmont College president Dr. Ray Cleere and the Board of Trustees announced Wednesday that the college will add women's lacrosse as a varsity sport beginning in the 2011-12 school year. The initial year will be used to create the program's recruiting base and scheduling with the goal of beginning competition in the spring of 2013.
