DAHLONEGA - North Georgia continued its dominance in regional play on Sunday, taking out Flagler College 6-1 to capture a third straight NCAA Southeast Dahlonega Regional Championship at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
DAHLONEGA -- The North Georgia College & State University softball team used a four-run fifth inning on Saturday to erase a two-run deficit and rally for a 5-4 victory over Flagler College in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Southeast Dahlonega Regional at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.

DAHLONEGA - Last season North Georgia softball pitcher Sarah Phillips won more than 50 games and was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season. This season, Phillips only has 19 wins and most likely will not win her third straight PBC award.
With North Georgia just three outs away from advancing to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament championship game, Augusta State came alive with three ninth-inning runs to avoid elimination and force a deciding third game to be held at 7 p.m. tonight at Golden Park in Columbus.
For the third consecutive year, the second-ranked North Georgia softball team will be one of 16 host teams for the opening round of the 2011 NCAA Division-II softball championships to be played around the country this weekend.
The North Georgia College & State University baseball team erased a five-run, first-inning deficit on Tuesday evening and rallied back to take down West Georgia 10-9 on a walk-off infield single at Bob Stein Stadium in non-conference action.

The Brenau University softball team swept a doubleheader with No. 20 Shorter, 3-0, 3-2, on Tuesday in Gainesville. With the win, the Golden Tigers (37-7, 21-5 Southern States Athletic Conference) moved two games ahead of Shorter for first place in the conferences eastern division.
