Snellville's Fricke wins Georgia Open
Jonathan Fricke of Snellville shot a final round of two-under par 70 for a tournament total of five-under par 283 to win the 59th annual Georgia Open on sunday at The Legends at Chateau Elan in Braselton.
Gainesville golfer Ralston finishes 3rd at Florida tourney
Gainesville freshman Spencer Ralston shot a final round 4-under par 68 on Thursday to finish in a tie for third place in the American Junior Golf Association's Junior All-Star tournament at the Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club in Ocala, FL. Ralston had a three day total of 1-under par 215 and finished two shots behind winner Ben Albin, who completed the 54 hole Championship with a score of 3-under par 213.
Georgia Open: Hull, Fricke tied at Chateau Elan
Jeff Hull of Watkinsville, the 2007 Georgia Open champion, and mini-tour professional Jonathan Fricke of Snellville, are the co-leaders after the third round of the 59th annual Georgia Open presented by Club Car at The Legends at Chateau Elan in Braselton.

City Championship golf tourney starts Friday
The 2012 City Championship will be held Friday through Sunday at Chattahoochee Golf Club. The cost is $50 per player in addition to applicable green fees and cart fees. The tournament is open to any golfer with an established USGA handicap and will be flighted based on handicap indexes.
