Local IronDawg lifters help Team USA to a title

Local members of the Georgia IronDawgs powerlifting team helped Team USA win the World title at the World United Amateur Powerlifting World Championship Sunday in Jonesboro in a record-setting performance. After winning the Bench Press Team World Championship three days earlier, Team USA posted a win in the Full Power division to complete the sweep.

Georgia IronDawg lifter Tim Moon, of Gainesville, won a World United Amateur Powerlifting (WUAP) bench press championship Thursday with a lift of 705.5 pounds at the World Bench Press Championships in Jonesboro. He hit the lift on his third and final attempt to stay in the meet.

England earns Royal Lakes championship
