Gainesville High graduate Skyler Weber was picked in the 18th round (532 overall) by the Oakland Athletics during Saturday's third day of the MLB draft. As a junior, Weber hit .314 for four home runs and 33 RBIs as an outfielder and catcher for the University of Georgia. He finished the season with a .991 fielding percentage for the Bulldogs.
