Lake Lanier Fishing Report: Creek mouths the best bet for stripers

Water temperatures are right around 70 degrees. Lake Lanier's water level is at 1,065.65, which is 5.35 feet below full pool of 1,071 feet. We should see an increase as the recent rains flow into the lake. Lake Lanier is clear on the main lake and mostly clear in the creeks and coves. The Chattahoochee River below Buford Dam is clear. G-Braves score 7 in the 9th, top Norfolk in extras

Jose Constanza had a two-run triple to provide the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves the winning margin in a 14-12 comeback win against the Norfolk Tide on Wednesday afternoon in Norfolk, Va. The G-Braves (4-3) scored seven runs in the top of the ninth to send the game to extra innings and then won it with two runs in the top of the 11th.

After a few years away from holding the meet, Flowery Branch, Johnson, North Hall, East Hall and Chestatee will all be part of the field. Results have no bearing on seeding for region championships that come later this month.
