OAKWOOD - East Hall senior forward Sada Wheeler led the third-seeded Lady Vikings to a 46-24 win against Chestatee with 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the opening round of the 48th annual Jackson EMC Lanierland Basketball Tournament on Saturday night.
OAKWOOD - East Hall high senior Ken Wise couldn't wait to get back out on the basketball court. Wise, who suffered a severe knee injury during the preseason, hit the court for the first time this season and helped lead the Vikings to an 84-68 victory against Johnson on Friday night in the opening round of the 48th annual Lanierland Basketball Tournament.

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville High tailback Kendrick Harris is almost speechless regarding his seven-touchdown performance last Friday night at City Park.
The Red Elephants' running back, who is listed at 5-foot-6, scored on runs of 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 17 yards in Gainesville's (5-3, 1-1 Region 7B-AAA) 77-35 rout of Pickens. Harris also added an 82-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and had two catches for 33 yards.
