Clausen: Falcons, Red Elephants 1-2 in power ratings
Each week I try and pick out the most interesting game played on Friday night by the Hall County teams.
Clausen: Falcons top power ratings
Halfway through the season I have no doubt Flowery Branch has the best football team in Hall County.
Clausen: Week 5 power ratings
During the first four weeks of the season, the seven public high schools in Hall County have played a total of 23 games.

I am going to make a couple of coaching observations I have been thinking about for a while.
Clausen: Flowery Branch tops Week 2 power rankings
At the end of week 2, we still have three undefeated teams in Hall County: Flowery Branch, which has been impressive in pitching two shutouts; West Hall which is coming off a winless season; and North Hall, which beat a very good Jefferson team last Friday and faces perennial power St. Pius X on Friday at the Brickyard.

Before moving to Gainesville in 1992 I had been a football coach for 28 seasons, four seasons in high school, one season at a junior college, three seasons at William and Mary, with Marv Levy and Lou Holtz, and five seasons at Ohio State with Woody Hayes.
