West Forsyth boys track team wins 7-AAA region championship

FLOWERY BRANCH - Despite placing first in only one event at the Region 7-AAA boys track meet, the West Forsyth Wolverines used a team effort to edge Gainesville by 7.5 points and take home the title Tuesday in Flowery Branch.

Athlete of the Week: Adams a bright spot for Vikings

After three losses last week, the East Hall high school baseball team fell to 3-21 overall and 2-15 in Region 7-AAA. A record like that would make a lot of young players want to give up on the season, but not senior Drew Adams. To Adams, the mark of a good player is that the effort on the field remains strong, even if the team's record isn't.
