Flood watch issued as heavy rain moves in

Heavy rain is moving into the region today, and by the time it stops raining Saturday night, forecasters are saying up to 4 inches of rain could fall. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for much of north and central Georgia -- including Gainesville -- until Saturday night.

Georgia mascot Uga VI dies

Uga VI, the beloved white English bulldog that served as the University of Georgia mascot for nearly a decade, has died, his owner, Sonny Seiler of Savannah said Saturday. He was 9.

Uga was the winningest mascot in the university's history - the football team was 87-27 and won two SEC titles in his tenure.
