Cross Country Coach of the Year: Riverside's Jim Myers

Riverside cross country coach Jim Myers said the only meet he had butterflies in his stomach for was the region championship. Before the race he told his boys "run fast." After the race was over, his team had won the 8-AA region championship. The Eagles went on to finish sixth at the state meet.

Gainesville players, fans react to state championship win

On Friday night, Gainesville claimed its first football state championship with a 49-13 victory over Ware County. On Saturday, the effects of the win were just starting to sink in.

Kelly scores 33 for North Hall in OT win against East Hall

After the first three periods of play, the North Hall Trojans boys' basketball team never had a lead. When the buzzer sounded for the end of the game, they still didn't have the lead, but they had tied the game to send it to overtime, where they were able to edge out East Hall for a 72-69 victory.
