Emergency weather sirens will be tested

City council OKs outdoor alcohol waiver for 1st Fridays

Gainesville City Council members are welcoming First Friday events to the downtown square. The council voted Tuesday to allow the sale of alcohol for outdoor consumption in the commercial district.
