The Jefferson City Schools Board of Education has approved the removal of the annex building at Jefferson High School in exchange for more classroom space and a larger cafeteria.
"Jefferson High School only has three classrooms available for future growth," said John Jackson, school system superintendent. "There is also a kitchen problem (at the high school). It's the smallest one in the entire school system."
Children are too young to vote, so often their wants and needs are overlooked by the majority of society, but not by Martha Martin. As she puts it, "helping children is my passion."
Martin is more than a woman of her word, she is also a woman of action and uses her passion for children to fuel her endeavors on multiple Jackson County boards and organizations that are dedicated to helping children.
