The Atlanta Falcons announced Wednesday that they have agreed to terms with tackle Jake Matthews and defensive end Ra’Shede Hageman. The terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

The team now has agreements with seven of its nine 2014 draft picks.

Matthews (6-foot-5, 309 pounds) was selected by the Falcons in the first round, sixth overall. He played in 52 games with 46 straight starts at both right and left tackle at Texas A&M.

Matthews was a consensus All-American and a unanimous All-Southeastern Conference first-team selection while serving as a team captain in 2013. He is the fourth member of his family to be selected in the first round and the seventh to reach the NFL.

Matthews’ NFL lineage began with Clay Matthews Sr., who played four seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the 1950s. His father, Bruce Matthews, was a 14-time Pro Bowl selection, and Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews III is his cousin.

Hageman (6-foot-6, 318 pounds) was selected by the Falcons in the second round (37th overall). He appeared in 46 games at Minnesota and started his final 26 contests.

Hageman finished his career with 91 tackles (57 solo), with 10 sacks for minus 76 yards, 24 tackles for loss totaling 114 yards, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and two blocked kicks.

Serving as a team captain in 2013, Hageman was named a third-team All-American by Athlon Sports and was a consensus All-Big Ten first-team choice after recording 38 tackles (26 solo), with two sacks and a career-high 13 tackles for loss.

Hageman was a standout performer at the Senior Bowl while playing for the Falcons coaching staff.
