High school football: 3 exit and 4 enter the ranks

ATLANTA — The only changes in this week's Associated Press high school football poll involves a few teams leaving, a few more entering, and a little shuffling with No. 4 Dublin leading the way in Class AA moving up two positions.

No. 5 Appling County, No. 7 Charlton County, and No. 8 Jefferson each advanced on slot while No. 9 Henry County enters the rankings taking Jefferson County's place after they lost to unranked East Laurens 35-7. The top three remain with Buford on top.

Class AAAA sees No. 6 Mays, No. 7 Tucker, and No. 8 Rome moving up one with No. 9 Sequoyah entering the poll after Chamblee's second loss and exit. The top five remain unchanged with Westside-Macon the unanimous No. 1.

Class AAA welcomes No. 10 Jackson and says goodbye to Peach County marking the only movement in the league's rankings. Gainesville holds at No. 6.

Kell enters the rankings while Coffee County falls to positions as both share the No. 10 slot in Class AAAAA. No. 9 East Paulding notches up one with Walton technically falling one and taking sole possession of No. 4 after sharing No. 3 with Newnan last week. Lowndes and Camden County continues and Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

No. 4 Brookstone and No. 5 Clinch County flip-flop represents the only change the in Class A rankings.
