Flowery Branch Spring Festival kicks off in Old Town

POSTED: April 24, 2014 1:00 a.m.

The Flowery Branch Spring Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in historic downtown Flowery Branch along Railroad Avenue and Main Street.

The festival will be held rain or shine, with activities such as a bounce house and slide, face painting, music and games, as well as the much-anticipated, annual cake walk. Food and arts and crafts will be available for purchase.

So far, this year’s vendors include health, wellness and beauty; cooking; jewelry; and a variety of arts and crafts. A number of Main Street merchants will keep their doors open for the day.

A LifeSouth blood drive and Georgia child identification program will be held.

New this year will be a pick-up location for out-of-date or unused, unneeded prescriptions, sponsored by the Hall County Sheriff’s Department as part of the national Drug Take Back Day.

The festival and parking are free.
