High school scoreboard: April 3

Kelsey Dumanowsky notched a pair of goals and an assist to lead Johnson to a 6-0 win against Eastside on Thursday.

Erin Perkins, Stephanie Aviles, Evelin Aviata and Sofy Munoz also scored for the Lady Knights. Sandra Macedo finished with two assists for Johnson, and Hannah Hodge earned the shut out in goal.

WEST HALL BOYS 10, BANKS COUNTY 0: Cesar Villa recorded a hat trick to lead the Spartans on Thursday in Homer.

Jordan Moreno scored two goals for West Hall (9-4-2, 5-0 Region 7-AAA), and Simon Cobian, Juan Regina, Isaac Castruita, Richie Castruita and Ramsis Martinez also scored for the Spartans. Eduardo Magana and Johnny Gomez each added two assists. Omar Castillo, Ronald Portillo, and Richie Castruita each had one assist.

WEST HALL GIRLS 7, BANKS COUNTY 0: Gabrielle Ligas tallied three goals and an assist for West Hall on Thursday in Homer.

Katie Forrester added a goal and two assists for the Lady Spartans (6-8-1, 4-1 Region 7-AAA), and Katie Kirkland, Kristen Newstrom and Jesika Ortega each had a goal and an assist. Monica Payero also had an assist for West Hall.

The Lady Spartans play host to Dawson County on April 15 in Oakwood.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 3, HERITAGE 0: Christian Escalera and Arlis Nunez anchored a stingy Gainesville defense on Thursday in Conyers.

Cesar Regaldo, Cesar Saucedo and Oner Turcios each scored for the Red Elephants, and Ahmed Montezuma notched an assist. Gage Turner earned the shutout in goal.

Gainesville visits East Hall on April 16.


CHESTATEE 14, JOHNSON 13 (Wednesday): Chestatee used four pitchers in the three-hour game before Tanner Gable earned the win and Caleb Jameson got the save on Wednesday.

Eric George led the War Eagles (4-14, 2-6 Region 8-AAAA) at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 2-for-3 performance. Griffin Moore was 2 for 5 with a single, a double, an RBI and two runs scored, and Peyton Rider was 2 for 2 with a run scored.

Chestatee plays host to Stephens County at 5:55 p.m. tonight in Gainesville, weather permitting.


ATHENS ACADEMY BOYS 4, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 1: Connor Thomas earned the lone Lions win at No. 2 singles on Thursday.

JOHNSON GIRLS 5, EAST HALL 0 (Wednesday): Ashley Hogan, Zdena Janderova and Karina Rivera earned singles wins for the Lady Knights on Wednesday in Oakwood.

Marissa Rodriquez/Anslie Bass and Julia Kay Mallory/Kaitlyn Houston won doubles matches for Johnson.


WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 137, JOHNSON 159 (Wednesday): Candler Kimsey finished with a 43 to lead the Lady Warriors on Wednesday at Royal Lakes.

Hannah Wall carded a 45 for White County, and Brittan Slaton had a 49.

Kristen Waters led Johnson with a 48, and Jenny Barrett carded a 49.
