High school scoreboard: March 31

Micah Strickland drove in both runs and finished 2 for 3 with a double and a home run as North Hall defeated White County 2-0 on Monday in Cleveland.

McCoy Savage and Corbin Lewallen each went 1 for 3 for the Trojans. Lewallen pitched all seven innings, striking out two and allowing two hits.

North Hall (9-6, 7-3 Region 7-AAA) visits Banks County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Homer.

GAINESVILLE 18, WINDER-BARROW 12: Michael Curry went 2 for 4 with a pair of home runs and four RBIs for Gainesville on Monday in Winder.

Michael Gettys had a home run and finished with two hits and three RBIs. Sims Griffith had four hits and two RBIs and earned the save pitching. Caleb Whitenton added three hits, and Drew Satterfield and Drew Wright had two hits each for the Red Elephants.

Sam Carpenter earned the win from the mound for Gainesville (10-5, 4-1 Region 8-AAAAA).

The Red Elephants play host to Winder-Barrow on Wednesday in Gainesville.

EAST HALL 4, BANKS COUNTY 3: Caleb Holtzclaw hit an RBI grounder to score Hunter Buffington and win the game in the 10th inning for the Vikings on Monday.

Holtzclaw also hit a three run homer for East Hall, and Eli Stuart earned the win from the mound with six strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings.

DAWSON COUNTY 5, FANNIN COUNTY 4 (Game 1): Down 4-0 in the first inning, Logan Burt entered the game to pitch for Dawson County and struck out 16 for the Tigers to earn a comeback win on Monday in Dawsonville.

Levi Whitmire finished 2 for 3 and knocked in the winning run in the seventh inning. J.T. Eggert hit a home run for the Tigers (10-5). who play host to East Hall at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.

DAWSON COUNTY 15, FANNIN COUNTY 2 (Game 2): Burt hit two home runs with five RBIs in Game 2 for the Tigers.

Eggert added another homer in the second game, taking Dawson County to four straight wins.

Logan Crumley earned the win pitching for the Tigers.

JACKSON COUNTY 7, MORGAN COUNTY 2: Ben Brissey finished 1 for 3 with a two-run home run for the Panthers on Monday in Madison.

Nick Corso went 3 for 4 with an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored for Jackson County (11-4, 2-2 Region 8-AAA), and Joel Ellis was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Colby Cole had an RBI and a run scored in a 2-for-3 performance.

Coleman Barbee earned the complete game win pitching with six strikeouts.

The Panthers visit Elbert County on Wednesday in Elberton.

PRINCE AVENUE GIRLS 3, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 2: Mary Kaitlin Hocker won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles for the Lady Lions on Monday.

Anna Beavers/Hollis Huge earned the No. 2 doubles win, 6-1, 6-1, for Lakeview Academy.

NORTH HALL BOYS 5, CHESTATEE 0: Jackson Davis earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles on Monday in Gainesville.

Jeffery Kiser and Dalton Patterson also won singles matches for the Trojans (13-2), and Paxton Gillespie/Matt Booth and Matthew Chewning/Dawson Smith earned doubles wins.

North Hall visits Flowery Branch this afternoon.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 4, CHESTATEE 1: The Lady Trojans earned three singles wins from Hannah Gibson, Courtney Barnes and MaryClare Patterson on Monday.

Tricia Dial and McKay Higginbotham won at No. 2 doubles for North Hall (12-3).

Chestatee’s (7-5) lone win came from Haley King and Grace Brown at No. 1 doubles.

North Hall visits Flowery Branch this afternoon.

EAST HALL BOYS 3, FANNIN COUNTY 2: The Vikings swept doubles matches with wins from Oscar Torres/Fermin De La Cruz and Logan Warwick/Junior Lee on Monday.

Tucker Hardison won at No. 3 singles for East Hall.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 5, WEST HALL 0: Merritt Wilburn, Sipho Khoza and Robert Butler earned singles wins for the Eagles (9-0, 7-0 Region 8-AA) on Monday in Oakwood.

Josh Haughton/Drew Eidson and D’erron Patterson and Daniel McHerron won at doubles.

Riverside Military plays host to Rabun County on Wednesday in Gainesville.
