High school scoreboard: March 28

Drew Atha went 3 for 3 with three runs batted in to lead North Hall to an 11-6 win over previously unbeaten White County on Friday in Gainesville.

Stephen Murray finished 3 for 3 for the Trojans (8-6, 4-3 Region 7-AAA), and Lincoln Hewett went 3 for 5. Andrew Smith had a three-run home run for North Hall.

Josh Hammond allowed one run in five innings and struck out seven to earn the victory on the mound.

For White County (13-1, 8-1), Spencer Adams led at the plate with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored in a 2-for-4 performance. Stetson Gearin was 2 for 3 with two runs scored for the Warriors, and Joel Pritchett, Peyton Applewhite and Trey Allen each finished 2 for 3.

The Trojans visit White County at 5:55 p.m. Monday in Cleveland.

Tennis

RIVERSIDE MILITARY BOYS 4, JEFFERSON 1 (Thursday): The Eagles got doubles wins from Josh Haughton/Drew Eidson and D’erron Patterson/Daniel McHerron to earn the team win on Thursday in Jefferson.

Sipho Khoza and Armen Akhoyen won singles matches for Riverside Military (8-0, 7-0 Region 8-AA).

The Eagles visit West Hall on Monday in Oakwood.

Golf

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS WIN TRI-MATCH (Thursday): Candler Kimsey carded a 41 to earn the match’s low-medalist honor and lead the Lady Warriors to a win against Johnson and Lumpkin County on Thursday at Achasta Golf Course in Dahlonega.

Brittan Slaton shot a 43 for White County (139), Hannah Wall finished with a 55, and Karson Kimsey had a 57 to round out the scorers.

Madison Stewart led Johnson (159) with a 52, and Kristen Waters shot a 53.

Sydney Bates and Haley Dibble each carded a 52 to lead Lumpkin County (173).
