Suspects in separate cases set to be in court today

POSTED: March 28, 2014 11:04 p.m.

Two Gainesville men were arrested Thursday on charges of trafficking methamphetamine after authorities say they delivered 4 ounces of the drug.

Cutberto Rodriguez-Romero, 38, and Bonifacio Ramirez, 29, also both face a charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. They were placed on immigration holds because they were in the country illegally, according to a news release from the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.

MANS officials estimated the drugs were worth $11,200.

Both were booked into the Hall County Jail, no bond was set and they have committal hearings set for April 18.
In a separate case Thursday, another two local residents were charged with trafficking meth.

Keith Wesley Breece, 31, of Gainesville and Ashley Ann Dietz, 25, of Lula also each face a charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. Another Gainesville woman was arrested with them on a possession charge.

The three were arrested at a home on Tower Commons Road in Gainesville after MANS agents and Gainesville Police officers executed a search warrant at Breece’s home.

MANS reported that 2 ounces of meth along with packaging materials, digital scales and cash were found. The meth was estimated at a value of $5,600.

No bond was set for Breece and Dietz and their committal hearing was waived, meaning the case is now being handled by Superior Court.
