High school scoreboard: March 25

Hannah Hester netted two goals and had an assist for the Johnson girls as they stretched their win streak to five games with a 5-2 win against Winder-Barrow on Tuesday.

Sandra Macedo scored a goal and added two assists for the Lady Knights (5-5-1, 3-1 Region 8-AAAA), and Kelsey Dumanowsky and Hannah Mullinax also scored for Johnson. Evelin Aviata had one assist.

The Lady Knights play host to Chestatee on Friday in Oakwood.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 5, CLARKE CENTRAL 0: Corrie Thomas finished with a hat trick for the Lady Falcons on Tuesday.

Julia Sienkiewicz and Lauren Kirk each scored one goal for Flowery Branch, and Kelsey Mathis and Cara Solombrino combined for the shutout in goal.

The Lady Falcons (9-2-1, 3-1 Region 8-AAAAA) visit Gainesville on Friday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 2, WHITE COUNTY 1 (OT): Gabrielle Ligas and Jesika Ortega scored for the Lady Spartans on Tuesday in Oakwood.

Katie Kirkland assisted both West Hall goals.

The Lady Spartans (4-7-1, 2-1 Region 7-AAA) play host to East Hall on Friday in Oakwood.

WEST HALL BOYS 3, WHITE COUNTY 1: Omar Castillo notched a pair of goals to pace the Spartans on Tuesday in Oakwood.

Ramsis Martinez scored West Hall’s third goal off of a pass from Eduardo Magana. Ricardo Castruita assisted the first Spartan goal.

West Hall plays host to East Hall on Friday.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 10, FORSYTH CENTRAL 0: Jose Cruz Garcia netted three goals to lead the Red Elephants (10-1-1) on Tuesday.

Roberto Nunez had two goals for Gainesville. Cesar Regaldo, Ricardo Gomez and Eric Bonilla each added a goal and an assist, and Diego Porras and Juan Robles both scored goals. Christian Ochoa, Eric Romero and Esteban Bautista all notched assists for the Red Elephants.

Gainesville plays host to Flowery Branch on Friday.

JOHNSON BOYS 10, STEPHENS COUNTY 0 (Monday): Luis DelToro tallied a hat trick to lead the Knights on Monday.

Luis Hernandes, Barut Perez and Fabian Abarca each added a pair of goals for Johnson (10-0, 4-0 Region 8-AAAA), and Jamie Rosales had one goal.


JEFFERSON 10, RABUN COUNTY 0: Max Ford hit a three-run home run and Jake Franklin connected on a solo homer for the Dragons on Tuesday in Jefferson.

Alex Gaba went 2 for 3 with a three-run double, and Christian Hutch and Taylor Wilkes also hit doubles for Jefferson.

Ford earned the win pitching with 11 strikeouts and just one hit over six innings.

Jefferson (13-3, 7-0 Region 8-AA) visits Riverside Military on April 1 in Gainesville.


GAINESVILLE BOYS 5, CLARKE CENTRAL 0: Thomas Carter earned the No. 3 singles win in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 11-9) for the Red Elephants to secure the sweep on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Graham McKinnon and Reagan Williams also earned singles wins for Gainesville. Charles Calkins/Nick Dillard and Trevor Munn/Davis Brown won doubles matches.

The Red Elephants visit Flowery Branch in their last match of the regular season on Thursday.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 4, CLARKE CENTRAL 1: Suzanne Smith and Georgia Summer won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles to lead the Lady Red Elephants on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Josie Everte/Morgan Mercer won at No. 1 doubles, and Katherine Wright and Haley Frankum earned singles wins for Gainesville.

The Lady Red Elephants visit Flowery Branch on Thursday.

STEPHENS COUNTY BOYS 4, CHESTATEE 1: Logan Gruenenfelder and Ethan Kapiloff earned a doubles win for the War Eagles to avoid the sweep on Tuesday in Toccoa.

Chestatee visits Johnson on Thursday in Oakwood.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 3, STEPHENS COUNTY 2: Fernanda Arcaraz won at No. 2 singles to earn the team victory on Tuesday in Toccoa.

Haley King/Grace Brown and Carolina Gijon/Tyler Bennett earned doubles wins for Chestatee.

The Lady War Eagles play host to the Johnson girls on Thursday in Oakwood.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 4, SOCIAL CIRCLE 1: The Eagles stayed undefeated thanks to a singles sweep on Tuesday in Social Circle.

Merritt Wilburn, Sipho Khoza and Andrew Eidson all won in straight sets in singles for the Eagles (7-0, 6-0 Region 8-AA). Josh Haughton/D’rron Patterson won in straight sets at No. 1 doubles.
