3 county residents in Leadership Georgia class

Each year, 63 participants from a pool of several hundred applicants are selected to be part if the Leadership Georgia class.

Three Hall County residents in the 2014 class are:

* Jennifer Lucretia Herring of Murrayville, who is a AVP at BB&T.

* Phaedra Corso of Gainesville, who is a professor at the University of Georgia.

* Enrique Rodolfo Montie of Gainesville, who is a senior veterinarian at Merial Select Inc.

Leadership Georgia is a prestigious 42-year-old organization of the community and state leaders. Affiliated with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Georgia trains and builds a network of emerging young leaders from across the state. Past participants include a number of influential state and national leaders ranging from former U.S. Senator Sam Numm to University of Georgia Athletic Director Vince Dooley.

Class members visit five Georgia communities in a yearlong exchange of ideas and experiences about important issues affecting the state. With the principal focus on “State of Giving” this class will travel to Brasstown Valley, Valdosta, Jekyll Island, Rome and Peachtree City.

The 2014 Class of Leadership Georgia will be led will be led by incoming President Gretchen Corbin of Rome.
