Ukrainian musicians to perform in Gainesville

Cellist, pianist to play at First Presbyterian Church

The husband-and-wife duo of Natalia Khoma and Volodymyr Vynnytsky are the featured musicians of the next ProMusica concert.

Cellist Khoma and pianist Vynnytsky will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church at 800 S. Enota Drive in Gainesville. A second concert for students will be Monday at Riverside Military Academy.

Tickets are $20 for adults and free for students. Tickets will be available at the door.

Both musicians were born in Lviv, Ukraine, but now reside in Charleston, S.C. They studied at Moscow Conservatory and have competed in international contests and won. Each has a distinguished career as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, and has appeared individually and as a duo with major orchestras and premier chamber music series through the United States and Europe.
