Folk to Fine Arts Festival this weekend

Artists from all across the Southeast will exhibit various types of folk to fine art at the annual arts festival this weekend.

Exhibits will include oil paintings, pottery and jewelry from March 7-9 at the Commerce Civic Center at 110 State St. Festival hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

But the festival will kick off with a Meet the Artist reception Friday, March 7. Guests can view the art and take part in an exclusive presale. They may also meet the artist and enjoy refreshments.

The Meet the Artist Reception costs $15 and includes two beverage tickets and weekend readmission. Admission for Saturday and Sunday events is $7 per person.

In addition to a variety of booths featuring a wide array of folk and fine art in various different mediums, artist-sponsored workshops will be offered.
