A Braselton man has been arrested in connection with a Dec. 31 robbery at the Ingles pharmacy in Flowery Branch.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators obtained a warrant for Chris Oneal Forrester on Tuesday following his arrest Thursday by the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad on unrelated drug charges.

Investigators had been searching for a white man who wore medical gauze on his face during the morning robbery at 4260 Winder Highway. The incident was caught on surveillance video.

The suspect told employees he was armed but no weapon was seen, according to the sheriff’s office. The man then fled in a white or silver four-door car.

Oakwood Police Investigator Danny Sridej said at the time of the robbery that another recent incident at a CVS in Oakwood could be related. It involved a man wearing gauze on his face asking the pharmacist there for Lortab and Percocet narcotic pain relievers and leaving in a car of similar description.

“On the initial review of the case this morning, it probably is the same guy based on the video,” Sridej said. “I have a video of him, matching up with the mug shot.”

He hasn’t had time yet for a confirmation, after spending most of the day in Hall County State Court, but said he’s confident the evidence is there.

Oakwood investigators did have fingerprints to work off of from the CVS case, but Sridej said the Ingles incident was a “break” in their case, with the same car popping up in surveillance footage.

Forrester has not yet had his first appearance in Hall County Magistrate Court. He is being held at the Hall County Jail.
