High school scoreboard: Feb. 25

Sadie Foote scored a goal and notched an assist to lead the Chestatee girls to a 4-0 win against Cedar Shoals in their first home game of the season on Tuesday.

Alyssa Yarck, Bailey Hooper and Samantha Addington also scored for the Lady War Eagles. Misandy Chavez recorded her first shutout of the season in goal.

Chestatee hosts Franklin County tonight in a weather makeup game in Gainesville.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 3, BANKS COUNTY 0: Carmen Wagner tallied a pair of goals for the Lady Lions on Tuesday.

Emma Reinhardt also scored for Lakeview Academy, and Shannon Waddell and Sarah Hutchinson added assists.

The Lady Lions visit George Walton Academy on Tuesday in Monroe.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 3, ARCHER 1: Nick Biasi’s hat trick powered the Falcons on Tuesday in Lawrenceville.

Jorge Castro recorded an assist for Flowery Branch, which plays host to West Hall on Friday.

WHITE COUNTY GIRLS 1, NORTH HALL 0: Savanna Magill notched the lone goal for the Lady Warriors on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Kaitlyn Gearing had the assist for White County, and Adianna Ortiz earned the shutout in goal.

The Lady Warriors visit Habersham Central at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Mount Airy.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 3, NORTH FORSYTH 1: Anna Youmans tallied a pair of goals for the Lady Red Elephants on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Alyssa Turner assisted Gainesville’s first goal before scoring one of her own on a corner kick. Margaret Carpenter added assists on both other goals.

The Lady Red Elephants (3-0-1) play host to Jackson County on Friday.

Baseball

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 4, JACKSON COUNTY 2: White County had a three-run seventh inning to earn the win on Tuesday.

Will Flowers hit a two-run double to propel the Warriors, and Matthew Hambrick finished 2 for 4.

Chris Jackson improved to 2-0 with the win from the mound for White County.

Jackson County was led by Patrick Overstreet with two RBIs and a double in a 1-for-3 effort. Ben Brissey went 1 for 2 with a run scored for the Panthers, and Jacob Banks was 1 for 3 with a run scored.

Jackson County visits Johnson at 5:55 p.m. tonight in Oakwood, and White County plays host to Lumpkin County at 5:55 p.m. tonight in Cleveland.

Tennis

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 5, NORTH OCONEE 0: The doubles pairs of Georgia Summer/Suzanne Smith and Morgan Mercer/Sally Callahan earned straight set wins to power the Lady Red Elephants on Tuesday in Bogart.

Brinkley Frankum, Katherine Wright and Haley Frankum all picked up singles wins for Gainesville (1-1).

The Lady Red Elephants play host to North Hall on Thursday at Longwood Park in Gainesville.
