High school scoreboard: Feb. 7

Karlie Bearden and Sheyenne Seabolt each scored 13 points to power the Dawson County girls to a 42-35 win over West Hall on Friday in Dawsonville.

Ashley Parker added nine points for the Lady Tigers (16-8, 7-6 Region 7-AAA).

Dawson County plays host to Banks County in a make-up game at 6 p.m. tonight.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 57, WEST HALL 37: Levi Whitmire scored 20 points and Cameron Millholland finished with 16 as the Tigers remained in contention for the No. 2 seed out of Region 7-AAA on Friday night.

The Tigers (18-6, 9-4) host Banks County tonight at 7:30 p.m. and can clinch the second seed with a win and an East Hall loss. A Dawson County win and an East Hall win will result in a tie, which will be broken by a coin flip.

West Hall, which visits North Hall tonight, was led by Hunter Atkinson, who finished with 12 points.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 56, TALLULAH FALLS 28: Ainsley Cash put up 20 points to lead the Lady Lions on Friday in Gainesville.

Kaylee McClendon notched 11 for Lakeview Academy (17-7, 11-2 Region 8-A), which visits Pinecrest Academy at 2:30 p.m. today in Cumming.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 59, TALLULAH FALLS 23: John Mills scored 15 points for the Lions on Friday in Gainesville.

Patrick Avery added 10 for Lakeview Academy (13-22, 8-5 Region 8-A).

The Lions play at Pinecrest Academy today at 4 p.m. in Cumming.

SALEM GIRLS 64, GAINESVILLE 58: Taylor Hawks led the Lady Red Elephants (19-6, 12-4 Region 8-AAAAA) with 17 points on Friday in Conyers.

Tamia Rucker scored 11 for Gainesville, while Tanai Watson and Kayla Kelly each added eight.

The Lady Red Elephants return to action in the Region 8-AAAAA tournament next week at Loganville High.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS 70, DAWSON CHRISTIAN 61: Sam Youngblood led the No. 2 Chargers in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association regional tournament on Friday in Flowery Branch.

Norris Rettiger added 12 points for North Georgia Christian, and David Thome had nine rebounds.
