Ladell Tutt's pound cake

Pound Cake

3 sticks of butter

1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese

3 cups sugar

3 cups plain flour

6 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the softened butter, sugar and softened cream cheese together well.

Gradually add 2 cups of flour with 3 eggs; then gradually add the remaining 1 cup of flour and eggs. Add vanilla and lemon extract. Cream together well

Bake in a 10-inch greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 30 to 45 minutes or until done.

Cool after baking.

Note: Let butter and cream cheese sit out at room temperature to soften. Then, use electric mixer to cream ingredients.
