Lindsay Boomershine Robertson, 55, an executive in a family-owned auto dealership, died Sunday at her home in Braselton. The cause of death was not immediately known, according to Jerry Ward of Mason & Ward Funeral Home, which is handling funeral arrangements.

She was married for 36 years to Moss Robertson, the namesake of the Cadillac, Mazda and Isuzu dealership on Browns Bridge Road.

Lindsay Robertson came from an automotive family, the Boomershines, which at one time owned a number of dealerships, including a flagship Pontiac outlet in Atlanta.

Active in several civic activities, Robertson served as chairman of the North Georgia Community Foundation from 2005 to 2006.

"She was a superior board chair who was very concerned and very interested in the details of the foundation," said Jim Mathis, the foundation’s chief executive. "She had one of the most caring hearts I’ve ever known."

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Catherine Sanders; her parents, Walter and Winkie Boomershine; and a grandson, Ralph Sanders.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville. The Rev. David McDonald will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church after the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Lindsay Robertson Memorial Fund at the North Georgia Community Foundation, 625 Oak St., Gainesville, GA 30501.
