A Lula man was arrested Saturday after another man’s face was “severely cut.”

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Charles Dean Tamburich, 27, was arrested Dec. 21 on a charge of aggravated battery.

According to Chad Mann, community services officer for the sheriff’s office, the incident happened Dec. 15. Tamburich had gotten into a fight at a residence inside the 8900 block of Oliver Mill Road in Lula. After being asked to leave the home, he began banging repeatedly on the windows once outside.

The victim, also of Lula, was awakened by the commotion and went outside. Deputies said Tamburich took out a knife after a brief conversation with the victim and cut the 40-year-old on his face, causing severe injuries.

He has since been released from a local hospital and is “recovering well,” Mann said.

Tamburich is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.
