In response to theater patrons asking for more holiday programming, Aurora Theatre is presenting the one-man show “A Christmas Carol” and the one-woman show, “The 12 Dates of Christmas.”

Anthony P. Rodriguez and Jaclyn Hofmann will perform the plays for a limited three-week engagement from Dec. 5-22 in repertory.

Showtimes for “A Christmas Carol” are 8 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday from Dec. 5-22. Showtimes for “The 12 Dates of Christmas” will be 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $15. For both shows, patrons may purchase a combo ticket for $25. The combo ticket is good for any combination of both shows.

In Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Rodriguez returns for a seventh year with his solo performance of the holiday classic. Similar to the way Dickens performed his stories by the fireside in Victorian England, Rodriguez uses the classic art of storytelling to bring life to Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley and each astonishing ghost found in the beloved Christmas story of all time.

The intimate, 90-seat Peach State Federal Credit Union Studio will be transformed into Dickens’ parlor for the rendition of the Christmas story.

In “The 12 Dates of Christmas,” the audience will follow the misadventures of the aptly named leading character, Mary, played by Hofmann. While watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Mary sees her fiancé kiss another woman on national TV. During the next year, Mary is set up, hooked up, strung up and fed up as she stumbles back into the dating scene.

Free parking is available on the deck attached to Aurora Theatre at 153 Crogan St. in Lawrenceville. Aurora Theatre is at 128 E. Pike St.
