Mayors’ Motorcade to aid consumers of mental health services

The city of Gainesville and the Georgia Municipal Association are teaming up for the 55th annual Mayors’ Motorcade.

Money and gifts will be delivered to consumers of state mental health services residing in Gainesville-Hall County group homes.

Gift ideas include personal care items, sleepwear and bathrobes, comfortable clothing, bedroom shoes, sweatshirts/sweatpants, hair items, board games, baseball caps, stationary, pens/pencils, tote bags, watches, CDs, DVDs (PG or G only), hats and gloves. Unwrapped gifts, wrapping paper and wrapping supplies can be dropped off by Dec. 11 at the Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center — 430 Prior St. SE; Fire Station 1 — 725 Pine St.; Fire Station 2 — 310 Piedmont Road; Fire Station 3 — 3335 Nancy Creek Road; and Fire Station 4 — 2163 Memorial Park Road.

Tax-deductible monetary contributions, payable to Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center, may be mailed by Thursday to Community Service Center, 430 Prior St. SE, Gainesville, GA 30501.
