Perdue bests Kingston in GOP Senate runoff

Kayla Watson notched 18 points to lead Chestatee to a 53-39 win against Jefferson in Tabo’s Tip-Off Tournament on Tuesday in Jefferson.

Bridgette Kelly and Savanna Long each tallied 11 points for the Lady War Eagles (2-0), and Deanna Bradberry added eight.

Chestatee faces Mill Creek in the tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday in Jefferson.

JOHNSON BOYS 61, NORTH COBB 51: James Hodges notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Johnson in the Johnson Tip-Off Classic on Tuesday in Oakwood.

Justin Jones added 11 points for the Knights (2-2), and Ty Cockfield had nine. Drew Dunham had eight points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

Johnson visits Athens Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 in Athens.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 93, MONROE AREA 72: Spencer Adams recorded 23 points for White County in the White County Tip-Off Tournament on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Bradley Hurst tallied 17 for the Warriors (1-1), Will Gearing had 15, Trey Thomas notched 14, and Jordan Egerton added 11.

White County visits Pickens on Dec. 6 in Jasper.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 73, TELLICO PLAINS (Tenn.) 61: Johnny Gilreath powered the Indians with 20 points at Union County High on Tuesday in Blairsville.

Austin Holman had 15 points for Lumpkin County, Daniel McCrary tallied 12, and Evan Bafile added 10.

WEST HALL GIRLS 71, CAMBRIDGE 46: Mia McKensey paced the Lady Spartans with 14 points in their third win of the season in the White County Tip-Off Tournament on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Macy Passmore added 10 points for West Hall (3-0) and Meaghan Kelling and Jensen Hall each tallied nine.

The Lady Spartans play host to Jefferson at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood.

DAWSON BOYS 52, SOCIAL CIRLCE 32: Lucas Pain scored a game-high 21 points and Cameron Millholland added 11 and the Tigers played stingy defense, limiting Social Circle to just five first-half points to earn a win on Tuesday night at the Walnut Grove Thanksgiving Tournament.

Dawson County (3-0) hosts Fannin County next Tuesday in the Region 7-AAA opener for both teams.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 61, SOCIAL CIRCLE 12: Sheyenne Seabolt led the Lady Tigers with 19 points in the Walnut Grove Thanksgiving Tournament on Tuesday in Loganville.

Ashley Parker added 13 points for Dawson County (3-0), which faces Fannin County on Dec. 3 in Dawsonville.

MORGAN COUNTY GIRLS 54, BUFORD 51 (OVERTIME): Corey Staples and Camille Anderson each tallied 15 points for the Lady Wolves on Tuesday in Madison.

Bree Horrocks added 11 for Buford (0-1), which faces Eagles Landing on Saturday in Buford.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 56, EAST JACKSON 23: Lauren Carter made four 3-pointers and scored 12 points to lead the Lady Leopards on Tuesday in Commerce.

Gabby Kennedy had 10 points for Banks County, and Taylor Kennedy and Kaitlyn Duncan each added eight.

The Lady Leopards visit Franklin County on Tuesday in Carnesville.

EAST HALL BOYS 73, RABUN COUNTY 60 (MONDAY): Kyvon Davenport scored 25 points with 16 rebounds and five steals in a win at the Piedmont Classic on Monday in Demorest. Caleb Holtzclaw chipped in 14 points for the Vikings, and Tristin Cooper added 12.

East Hall forced 30 turnovers against the Wildcats.
