At Sardis Enrichment School, once-a-week clusters let groups of students choose an area of interest outside the regular curriculum and research it with like-minded students, said Gifted and Enrichment teacher Deanna Fawcett.

“Tonight celebrates all of the learning of the past eight to 10 weeks,” Fawcett said.

Thirty-nine age-specific clusters of kindergarten and elementary students studied topics of their choosing. Tuesday’s cluster night included 39 topics such as chess, pretty pillowcases, martial arts, skateboard science and dinosaurs among the many interests.
