The Lady Wolves’ starting pitcher retired nine of the first 11 batters she faced in Buford’s 8-1 win over Berrien for the Class AA state championship. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs.

 

Kimberlee Tolbert, Jefferson
The Lady Dragons’ starting pitcher struck out nine batters and scored two runs in Jefferson’s 5-4 win against Savannah Country Day in the Class A state tournament.

Katie Spell, North Hall
In North Hall’s win against Jordan in the Class AAA state tournament, Spell had 13 kills and 4.5 blocks.

 

Caroline Coker, North Hall
In North Hall’s win against Jordan in the Class AAA state tournament, Cooper had 11 kills. She added two kills and an ace in the Lady Trojans’ loss to Westminster.

 

Sara Anna McCoun, North Hall
In North Hall’s win against Jordan in the Class AAA state tournament, McCoun had three kills and five aces.

In the Lady Falcons’ fifth-place finish at the Alcovy Last Chance meet, Wellborn placed 12th with a time of 20:58.

 

Aurelio Montano, Gainesville
In the Lumpkin County tri-meet, freshman Montano led the Red Elephants, finishing first in 19:06.

 

Claire Kannapell, Gainesville
In the Lumpkin County tri-meet, Kannapell finished second overall, leading the Lady Red Elephants.
