POSTED: October 1, 2013 12:05 a.m.

The investigation continues into a one-vehicle wreck that sent three people to Georgia hospitals.

A 16-year-old girl was driving a Honda Accord on Sunday on Pinedale Lane in East Hall County when the vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection of Pinedale and Willow Wind Drive, the Georgia State Patrol reported.

After hitting an embankment, the vehicle then struck a tree. The passenger in the back seat, Diana Serrano of Gainesville, was ejected from the vehicle through the front window and was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Information on her condition was not available.

The front-seat passenger, Gainesville’s Oscar Bermudez, 31, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He was listed in “satisfactory” condition Monday afternoon.

The driver was transported by her family to the hospital. The state patrol’s report said she was wearing her seat belt, though that information was not available for the passengers.

Charges against the juvenile driver are pending, depending on the outcome of the investigation.
