North Oconee routs Jackson County, 62-27

North Oconee rolled up a 62-27 victory over Jackson County on Friday in Bogart.

Ben Brissey led Jackson County in scoring with 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns on two receptions.

Quarterback Jacob Lewis finished the night 12-of-26 for 270 yards and two scores but threw four interceptions. He also had 55 yards on nine rushes.

Malik Tuck was the Panthers’ leading rusher with 35 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Layson Giles had six catches for 110 yards and a score.

Evan Breakspear led the Jackson County defense with 12 tackles, and Griffin McElvery had six.

Jackson County (1-4, 1-1 Region 8-AAA) plays host to Franklin County on Friday in Jefferson.
