White County shuts out Lumpkin County, 31-0

White County blanked Lumpkin County 31-0 on Friday night in Dahlonega.

Senior Will Flowers had an interception for the Warriors (2-0) at the end of the fourth quarter that all but sealed the win.

Maurice Sutton led White County’s ground attack with 80 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, and Dalton Whitfield added another pair of scores and 70 yards on nine carries.

Sophomore Clancy Loudermilk had 38 yards and a score on two carries. His brother, senior Coley Loudermilk, had 40 yards on a pair of carries and an interception.

Wesley Saunders hit all four of his extra point attempts and added three more points on a 42-yard field goal for the Warriors.

White County finished with 329 yards of total offense. The Indians fall to 0-2.

The Warriors play host to Fannin County in their first region matchup next Friday in Cleveland. Lumpkin County hosts West Hall on Friday in Dahlonega.
