Five Hall County men face cocaine charges

Five Hall County men were arrested on cocaine charges in two incidents over the weekend.

Four men were arrested Friday in one incident. Agents of the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad, assisted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Gainesville Police Department patrol divisions and the sheriff’s office Special Operations unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Jordan Drive in Gainesville.

During the search, agents seized individually wrapped packages of crack cocaine with a street value of more than $500.

Stacy Marquez Nicely, 23, Detric Raymone Butler, 29, and Peyton Renae Hood, 32, all of Gainesville, along with Antwane Sentell Thurmond, 32, of Flowery Branch were charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. All four suspects were arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail.

Also Friday, agents executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of Floyd Road in Gainesville and seized cocaine, marijuana, hydrocone and two sets of digital scales as well as packaging materials.

Rashid Umar Shaw, 37, of Gainesville was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of hydrocodone.

All remained in the Hall County Jail on Sunday.
