Class Notes: UNG open houses continue next month

POSTED: March 27, 2013 12:19 a.m.

Students and parents interested in the University of North Georgia can learn more at a series of open houses on each of the campuses this month and next.

The events include campus tours, presentations and showcases, including meetings with representatives from academic departments and student organizations.

The schedule of open houses is as follows:

  • Dahlonega campus: 8:30 a.m. to noon April 13, 110 S. Chestatee St., Dahlonega, 706-864-1800 or 706-867-2885
  • Gainesville campus: 9 a.m. to noon April 20, 3820 Mundy Mill Road, Oakwood, 678-717-3641

Registration is required, but the events are free. Oconee and Cumming campuses already held their open houses.

Each campus has a slightly different focus.

Cumming offers nursing and business programs and targets working adults. The Gainesville and Oconee campuses offer mostly associate degrees and historically focused on providing access to higher education for any student. The Dahlonega campus provides mostly bachelor’s degrees along with master’s and doctoral programs.
