World Day of Prayer is Friday, an opportunity led by Christian women to bring those of many traditions together. Gainesville First United Methodist Church will open its sanctuary that day, allowing church and community members to come pray for the world, including leaders and anyone in need. World Day of Prayer is held every first Friday of March in more than 170 countries and regions. This year, the theme is “I was a stranger and you welcomed me,” selected by host country France. |
