Two Gainesville men were arrested in connection with a home invasion at Lake Lanier Club apartments last week, Gainesville police said.

Cuba Alaska Martin III and Quintilis Deon Davenport are being held in the Hall County Jail.

Martin, 22, is charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment, aggravated assault and first-degree burglary.

Davenport, also 22, is charged with robbery by force, first-degree burglary, aggravated battery and false imprisonment.

The Feb. 21 home invasion was atypical, police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said. According to an investigative report, the suspects used a handgun, assaulted the victim, tied him up, then stole items including a TV, cellphone, Xbox, watch and marijuana.

The victim was eventually able to free himself, then reported the assault to police, Holbrook said.

Following their investigation, police executed a search warrant at Davenport’s Green Street Circle residence and recovered some of the stolen items, Holbrook said.

Tuesday, further investigation led police to Martin.

Investigators deemed the suspect enough of a threat, Holbrook said, to require assistance from the Hall County SWAT team. Martin was arrested at his Riverside Terrace home without incident.

Both men have applied for indigent defense, according to court records.
