The Tater Patch Players will perform the classic stage play “Driving Miss Daisy” on March 8-10 at the Historic Holly Theater in Dahlonega.

The play centers around the relationship between Daisy Werthan and her chauffeur, Hoke, hired by her son, Boolie, to drive her. Old prejudices are swept aside as Daisy come to trust Hoke and depend heavily on him. Boolie keeps the family business running and develops a great appreciation for Hoke that is apparent but not spoken. Social, religious, and racial issues are addressed in this touching and funny program.

The cast includes Ginger Rosen as Daisy Werthan, Darrell Grant as Hoke Coleburn and Robert Countryman as Boolie Werthan. Professional actors Rosen and Grant have played the parts several times.

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. March 8 and 9 and 2 p.m. March 10. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for children and students.
