Georgia Tech to open 2013 season against Elon

ATLANTA — Georgia Tech will open its 2013 schedule at home against Elon on Aug. 31 in the first of seven home games.

The 2013 schedule released on Monday includes home games against Atlantic Coast Conference newcomers Pittsburgh and Syracuse. Syracuse makes its first visit to Georgia Tech on Oct. 19. Pittsburgh comes to Atlanta on Nov. 2.

The home schedule also includes a final regular-season game against Georgia on Nov. 30.

Following the opener against Elon, Georgia Tech has a week off before a Sept. 14 game at Duke and a Sept. 21 home game against North Carolina. The Yellow Jackets will play host to Virginia Tech in a Thursday night game on Sept. 26.

Georgia Tech plays its second Thursday night game at Clemson on Nov. 14.
