The Lakeview boys basketball team was awarded a spot in the state playoffs on Wednesday, earning the No. 14 seed in the 16-team Class A private school bracket. The Lions (18-7) will take on No. 3 Aquinas (20-6) in the first round at 6 p.m. Saturday in Augusta. The final playoff pairings for Class A, which is now divided into separate public and private school tournaments, was finalized Wednesday after the power rankings were announced and all appeals were heard. |
