6 arrested, charged in alleged assault of juvenile

A joint investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of two 18-year-olds, a 17-year-old and three juveniles.

The sexual assault of a juvenile was reported Jan. 29 by the victim’s mother, who told investigators several teenage boys drove the juvenile victim to a Jackson County residence where she says the crimes occurred.

A forensic interview and evaluation was conducted with the victim. During the execution of a search warrant, Jackson County investigators, with the GBI assisting, recovered several pieces of evidence to corroborate the victim’s statement.

Joshua Lee Saucier, 17, was arrested and charged with child molestation, aggravated child molestation and cruelty to children in the first degree. A juvenile was charged with the same offenses, plus enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Nicholas Wayne Joiner, 18, was charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes, child molestation and cruelty to children in the first degree.

Montel Eugene Reynolds, 18, is facing charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes, party to the crime of child molestation and cruelty to children in the first degree.

Two additional males, who were juveniles at the time of the incident, have also been arrested and charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes, child molestation, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and cruelty to children in the first degree.
