Georgia Tech junior softball player Alysha Rudnik was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week the league office announced Tuesday. Buford grad Rudnik helped Tech to a 5-0 opening weekend and totaled nine runs and eight walks, both team-highs. She drove in the second most runs on the team with 10 RBI, went 6-for-11 for a .545 batting average and stole three bases. The 5-0 weekend helped Tech crack the Top 25 ESPN.com/USA Softball poll at No. 24.
The Yellow Jackets play host to Indiana, Marshall and Miami (Ohio) in the Georgia Tech Classic this weekend in Atlanta.
